			Six 2-hour sessions
	YOU HAVE JUST BECOME PARENTS... Almost nothing is more exciting for any couple than bringing home their baby! Yet almost every new parent feels anxious about this event. Couples who are waiting for adoption placement are "expectant parents." They are poised on the brink of a monumental change in their lives and they need some support and guidelines.
			SESSION I: Taking the BIG step

			Preparations for adopting your child

			SESSION II: Getting to Know Your Baby
	WHO?... This class is open to those who are actively working with an adoption agency, expecting a private placement or who have recently had a child placed with them through adoption. WHAT?... These sessions will meet for two hours one evening per week for six consecutive weeks. Both Mommy & Daddy-to-be are asked to attend. WHY?... This class provides expectant adoptive parents an opportunity to learn about infant care without the distractions of seeing pregnant mothers-to-be and hearing about issues not relevant to them. It also provides a forum to discuss issues that are only relevant to adoptive parents. In addition it gives expectant adoptive couples an opportunity to share their excitement and frustrations with others who truly understand. WHERE?...
